Regular exercise is one of the keys to glowing skin - it nourishes your skin cells and keeps it vital. It worls by increasing the blood flow (BF) in your body. It is a given fact that exercise is good for your heart, lungs etc. But any activity that increases the blood flow is beneficial for healthy skin.

Blood carries oxygen and the nutrients to all working cells in the body, including the skin. In addition to providing oxygen, BF also helps carry the waste products, from working cells of your body.

Benefits of exercising for your skin

    It is known widely that exercise also helps reverse skin aging. Stress and dehydration are the two main reasons for our dry and patchy skin. The 1st thing you need to do is to keep yourself hydrated. Water carries oxygen and in return, it increases blood circulation.
    The blood vessels are found lying close to our skin surface. Aerobic exercise exuberates a heavy amount of oxygenated blood - when we exercise, the blood vessels dilate giving the skin a healthy, sprightly glow. Working out also helps the body to produce collagen - a protein that helps to keep your skin soft, supple, elastic and firm.

It is recommended that an acne prone skin must keep gentle, fragrance-free cleansing wipes in your gym bag. Also be sure to clean your face and other areas that tend to break out immediately after exercising.

For eczema patients wear fabrics that soak perspiration away from the skin since the wet-dry-wet-dry cycle will dry out your skin and provoke acne to arise. And above all, avoid exercising with makeup on your face. The oil from the makeup collects in and clogs your pores worsening the case with major acne breakout, blackheads and skin irritation.
